Tropiano has metaphorically chosen for himself the role of "today's paleontologist artist," guided by a modern, contemporary, and innovative visionary inclination. His vision perceives the persistence of the past in the present, but also manages to make the present perceive itself as if it, in turn, belonged to the past, through a synergistic dimensional exchange. His works range from the microcosm to the macrocosm, harmoniously "inventorying" an entire and varied universe of structural components of different natures and typologies, inventing object based, material, and symbolic translations rich in metaphysical allusions and spiritual resonances. He positions himself as a "creative astronaut" projected into the future, yet recovering and re evaluating from the past and the present whatever can best be valorized in its primary and intrinsic essence.

"Sculpture is the most laborious of art forms because it is not achieved by superimposing multiple elements. This presupposes a spasmodic relationship with error: if you remove a little more, you risk destroying the work. In other art forms, however, a simple intervention is enough and everything is put right. This allows the sculptor to live more intensely with the material and the tools used. The fear of making mistakes therefore forces him to constantly think.
